I believe that I should have a contact with people that know the writings of Joseph. I have read this book and the book the psychic perception. This I get rid he has helped a lot, it is very interesting but I believe to need to dialogue with people that have read it. I’m from Colombia, I don’t speak english well. It interests me a lot the topic about the power of the imagination. I would like a lot to enter in contact with people that know of the topic and to chat with them. I want some answer a lot, I thank the attention.

This book had good content contained in a lot of stories about things that happened. They left me with a good feeling.

For us, Cosmic Mind Power either exists or doesn’t. How it is manifest depends on our belief.

This was a good read, but not as powerful as other books by Joseph Murphy. Probably the reason (just my opinion) was less chance for analysis and reflection

How can McMahan dare rewrite many parts of Joseph Murphy’s book when the original text is very easily understandable by even a beginner of English?

More, he changed at many places stories involving men with women!!!! More crazy than that, it is not possible!

And he wrote quotes that are not even from the author.

For this vital, very important book, you only want the exact (word-for-word) content of the original book, nothing else. Stay away from expanded or revised editions!! What you really want is an edition that has NOT been revised or edited in any way!!

So, make sure you get that with another version of this title. So far, I cannot find one version of this title for which I can be 100% sure that it is the original copy of this title!!! If you know such a version, please leave a comment. Thanks.

The first time I discovered Dr. Joseph Murphys’ Books, I knew they were unusual, not your average ‘positive-thinking’ books. I read them with intense interest. I’ve tested many of the theories and found them to have some unbelievable results. This was my sole reason for searching Amazon to try and find those books. I wasn’t sure of their in print status. Naturally, I was excited to learn these books are being printed. I ordered two of his books. I excitedly opened the packages, knowing I was in for some informing reading. Naturally, I was shocked to find the texts of these books are not the originals written by the Author. My main question is, why change the contents of the books when they have helped to inspire so many thousands of readers over the years since Dr. Joseph Murphy first published them ? Unfortunately, these books are not the same as the originals. Much of what Dr. Joseph Murphy originally wrote is edited out of the books. Today, they are simply decent ‘positive thinking’ books. These newly edited books are not the same books Dr. Joseph Murphy originally wrote. I seriously wish the publishers had not changed the texts of the books. Moral of the story: When an author writes a book, he or she injects their own ‘personality’ into the text of the book. It is this authors ‘personality’ that readers like when they first buy and read the book. And the ‘personality’ that keeps readers returning. When an author dies, his works continue to live, unless of course, some ‘wise’ publisher thinks they can change the books’ text and the books will remain the same. One word of advice; The publisher should have never changed one word of Dr. Joseph Murphys’ books. This was their great mistake. What they have done is reduced a series of great works to nothing more than ‘positive think’.

I have been researching and have found the original book from 1963, it ISBN: 0136859585. It is sold on Amazon. As you will see the publish date is 1963 and is 224 pages. You can look it up on the Library of Congress website http://catalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?DB=local&PAGE=First. The url to the page is too long to paste. If you look him up, he is #34 of the Joseph Murphy’s and then click on The Power of the Unconscious Mind you can see the ISBN number.

I noticed the couple of books that claim to be unabridged are missing about 100 pages. I don’t know how they can claim the book is unabriged. Anyway I just ordered mine, hope you enjoy yours too!

Sorry my mistake you are talking about a different book. I just tried looking it up and The Library of Congress doesn’t list an ISBN number for that book. If I figure it out I will let you know.

This is actually The Library of Congress main page http://catalog.loc.gov/. The other URL is from a search I did previously.
