Mind Power

The cultivation of the mind is a kind of food supplied for the soul of man.

Interestingly, during ancient times, most people of that period instinctively *believed* that the mind contained the amazing power to heal and, while they could not quite name it or articulate it, they believed that this “power” could be harnessed and used in certain conditions and situations.
Of course, at the time, much of this was often associated with “possession” or “special powers” that were quite often misunderstood, but nonetheless, these people were incredibly invested and prepared to vouch for the awesome and truly amazing mind power that human beings held.
Through the years, thanks to massive hysteria combined with fear and ignorance, many great thinkers have been maligned, attacked and harmed in various ways, all because they could transform, heal or change events, people and things, through their amazing mind power.
In the 21st century, however, interestingly enough, as the world is becoming a harsher and more challenging places to live in many ways (terrorist threats anyone?) there appears to be a renewed interest, for any people, in discovering their “true self” which involves discovering just what kinds of powers their minds truly hold and, in turn, in learning to better understand how you can use your mind power to make things better for you and those around you.
This is a very encouraging sign – as we continue to strive to find ways to clear our “outer lives” and start focusing on our minds and all its mysteries, we are actually increasing the power to our entire bodies. Through a clearer and sounder mind, we can ward off fear and anxiety and gain a better understanding of things that have baffled us, in many cases, since we were old enough to talk. It all lies, right there in the power of the mind.
By silencing the turmoil around us, turning off the greed and ambition we have been told will help us and tuning into what the mind has to offer, we find ourselves gaining awareness and understanding that allow us to go further and truly become the person we were born to be.
Truly, the power of the mind is an absolute endless stream of possibilities, opportunities and wonder.
